Inside a Shari’ah court
Ruhi Hamid (2007)
British Muslim, Ruhi Hamid, travels to Zamfara, Nigeria, to ask some probing questions about the everyday operations of a Shari’ah court.
Surprisingly she is allowed to film some actual cases in action inside the court and exposes both the system’s simplicity and seeming brutality.
Includes some interviews with heavy Nigerian accents (subtitled in English) and some Arabic (subtitled in English).
