The Yacoubian building

The art-deco Yacoubian building, once providing apartments for the rich, now accommodates an array of people, rich and poor. The stories of the residents in the building are linked, and unfold through tales of corruption in high offices, fundamentalism, prostitution, sexuality, drugs and the decline of the Egyptian society.
Depicts a cross-section of life in Egypt's capital at the end of the 20th century.
